The Federal Civil Rights Legal Clinic is powered by a dedicated community of volunteer attorneys from public and private practice, federal agencies, and law firms large and small. Many of our attorney and legal assistant volunteers have been with the Clinic for more than a decade, and several have volunteered with us since our inception.

Every Clinic attorney brings federal court experience or expertise in a specific area of federal law. Collectively, they bring extraordinary knowledge and breadth of experience to their work, readily sharing their time, judgment, and wise counsel with our clients.

Our attorneys are supported by an equally dedicated group of volunteer legal assistants. They include paralegals working in our legal community, professionals working in business, and retired individuals who continue to put their legal knowledge and experience to work in service of our community. They are an essential part of the Clinic and the support we provide to our clients.

Most importantly, all of our volunteers share a genuine desire to help people navigate what is often one of the most difficult periods in their lives. They listen, help clients understand their legal rights and options, and provide thoughtful, practical guidance about possible next steps.
